Shelter Adopted:

After graduating college, I was ready for the next step into adulthood: adopting a cat. Unfortunately, it took a little while before I lived with a roommate without allergies.

In the summer of 2017, I began my search. My now-fiancé and I traveled to a number of shelters, but we didn't have much luck. Then, a week before my birthday, we saw a picture of a white kitten with gray patches around his ears, and we read all about him. He was described as playful and sweet, and he had a powerful purr. We knew this was the right one. Prince was being fostered at the time, and his foster dad, Brian, brought him to our apartment so we could all meet.

Prince poked his head out of his carrier and immediately started purring. It was clearly a good fit for him as well! We've had Prince for almost three years now, and it's impossible to imagine a day without him.
