Shelter Adopted:

In August of 2019, I began my search for the perfect pup. After visiting a local shelter, I was delighted to see that the majority were already adopted but knew the process wouldn't be as easy as I initially anticipated- that is, until I found Rocky. I spent endless hours online searching rescues near and far and ultimately fell in love with my "senior" beagle who was surrendered after eight years with his family. He spent three days in transit with a truck full of other lucky pups from the South and on October 26, I drove to Connecticut to welcome my Houstonian dog to the Northeast. The moment his leash was put into my hand, I became a dog momma and knew my life was changed for the better. Eight months in, he is the biggest momma's boy, snuggle bug, and has acclimated wonderfully to life in MA. He is a huge fan of belly rubs, peanut butter bones, and chasing bunnies and squirrels. Adopting Rocky has been the best decision and though he's classified as a "senior dog", his youthful personality shines through to this day!
