Chance is our second child.  We talked about having a friend for          for years.  Kevin, my husband, wanted a yard first. I worked off of emotion.  We never were on the same page.  One day we were watching a tv show we loved and something terrible happened in the episode.  I sobbed and sobbed.  The next day I was at work and happened to be on facebook when a friend’s friend reposted a dog in need of adoption.  I made eye contact with the dog.  Which seems weird.  It's just how I felt at the time.  I needed to help.  We both saw that he was going to be put down since he was a surrendered dog at a little known town in Florida.  We immediately sent an email inquiring about him.  We attempted to schedule a drive to get him but it just wasn't working with work schedules.  We, however, dealt with such an amazing volunteer that got him to the airport on a flight we scheduled (last resort) to JFK.  We drove after work to New York and picked him up and drove him home.  He was the best.  He lived out the rest of his life in happiness with us for years and we loved him with all of our hearts.
